The PortalGuard IDaaS Admin Panel is getting a fresh new look!
In this blog, we will outline the major enhancements, as highlighted in the August customer masterclass, with videos on how to complete some of the most common workflows.
We are going to replace the current PortalGuard IDaaS Admin Panel with the new version as of September 30th 2022. To get started, we recommend every customer to register for one of our upcoming training and Q&A sessions.
In case you’re not familiar with the PortalGuard IDaaS Admin Panel, it allows you and your admins to manage every aspect of PortalGuard IDaaS from any web browser, including:
After a lot of hard work put into design and development, we have given the PortalGuard IDaaS Admin Panel a new look and feel. The main objective of the redesign was to streamline the experience so you and your admins can manage PortalGuard IDaaS and complete critical tasks more quickly and easily. Basically, it’s all the same functionalities, but organized in a much more intuitive way. We also wanted to give the product a revamp to make it feel more modern and align better with the overall brand of the company.
The most distinct change is the navigation panel, which now resides as a column on the left side of the window, and the main navigation items are indicated as icons for improved usability and visibility.
You can also navigate to different pages from the home screen, organized into 5 sections:
Notice the [Active Organization] drop-down menu on the top left corner of the window. Your organization’s name will be displayed here. If you are an MSP or partner, you will see the organizations you manage here.
The PortalGuard IDaaS Admin Panel now offers a smarter view of your organization’s security policies. You can choose to view your security policies in a grid or a list format, and you can also sort them by alphabetical order, or search by policy name.
You can easily configure security policies for the group, OU, and individual users, including authentication methods, lockout threshold, password complexity rules, password reset, and more.
Under Authentication Methods, there’s the option for biometrics, where you can easily toggle the different biometric authentication methods that PortalGuard support, including:
It’s important to configure authentication methods for different user actions, including login, password change, RADIUS/VPN, Desktop 2FA, account unlock, password reset and recovery.
For more information on choosing the right PortalGuard authentication methods, check out our Ranking Authentication Methods ebook.
When you make changes to the PortalGuard IDaaS configurations, you will receive a notification on the top of the window asking you to [Review & Deploy Changes]. In there, you can manage and gain visibility of all the changes before pushing them to production.
The glossary tab now sits at the bottom right corner. You can easily access help information here.
Under Admin Panel Configurations on the homepage, you can easily manage roles, as well as assign privileges, and delegate tasks based on the roles you define.
